Sometimes you find an image so powerful that it sets off a series of thoughts. This week, while hunting for sometimes completely different, I came across this.
It’s the interior of a boarding house taken around 1897. Boarding houses were where people with nowhere else to go could pay a small amount of money for a bed by the night.
I image that there are lots of people in Britain today living in circumstances not too different to this. These pictures reminded me that I need to make a donation to Shelter.
